Obituary of Armond Manoogian

Armond Manoogian Jr., 77, of Pine Valley, NY passed away Monday, February 26, 2024. Born May 9, 1946 in Corning, NY, son of the late Armond and Eleanor Manoogian, and survived by his wife of 20 years Mary (Lisi) Manoogian. Armond served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, earning the National Defense medal. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Armond had many jobs in the area, including working for Artistic Greetings in Elmira where he performed several duties such as a machine mechanic. Armond had a love of tinkering with old machines, and would frequent antique shops and rummage sales looking for things to repair. He also loved spending time outdoors, spending many hours in his garden, or finding treasures with his metal detector. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Carl Manoogian, and sister Sandra Lee Manoogian. Along with his wife, he is survived by his son Armond C. Manoogian; stepchildren Mark (Margaret) Mortimer, Jon (Jaime) Mortimer, Cara Mortimer, and Kimberly Mortimer; brothers Edward (Sara) Manoogian, and Vincent (Lia) Manoogian; his dear pet, Lily; and several step grand and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
