SMITH, Helen J.
Age 93 of Watkins Rd. and formerly a longtime resident of E. Franklin St. Horseheads passed away Mar. 11, 2010. She was born June 25, 1916 in Tioga, PA the daughter to the late Claude and Joanna (Enderle) Theetge. Helen is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Francis Smith; Daughter and son, Ann and Milford Doland of Wellsburg, NY;
Grandchildren, Carol Doland of Wellsburg, NY, Darlene (Robert) Sowers of Pine City, NY; Great-grandchildren, Tristan (Michael) Stoughton, Jamee (Josiah) Skinkle, Cody Stoughton and Great great-grandson, Aaron Lee Skinkle; Sisters, Rosalie Vondracek of Cayuta, NY, and Marian Morgan of Horseheads, NY; Brother, John (Eleanor) Theetge of Horseheads, NY; Brother-in-law, Warren Austin of Sidney, NY. Helen was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Janet Stoughton and Sister, Elizabeth Austin and brother, Harold Theetge. Helen retired from Bendix Eclipse and was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship on the South Side and a past member of the Loyal Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home 413 S. Main St. Horseheads on Monday Mar. 15, 2010 from 5-7:00 pm. Her service will also follow there at the funeral home at the conclusion of calling hours on Monday at 7:00 pm with her Pastor, the Rev. James Crupi officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira.
