MAXIMIEK, Dorothy A.
Loving wife, mother and husbands' best friend, age 63 of Rockwell Ave., Horseheads, passed away after a brief illness March 7, 2010 at Robert Packer Hospital.  She was born September 11, 1946 to the late Francis and Margaret (Abbott) Dombroski. Dorothy is survived by her husband of forty years, Frank Maximiek, son, Jeffrey Maximiek of Horseheads, NY, daughter Sarah (Charles Armbrecht) of Binghamton, NY, and best friend and grandson, Alexander Maximiek of Horseheads, NY;   her mother-in-law, Margaret Maximiek, of Lopez, PA, brother-in-law, Stephen Maximiek of Waverly, NY, and sister-in-law, Margaret (Michael) Cicora of Orange Park, FL.  Dorothy is also survived by her cousins, with whom she was very close, Anne (Jerry) Shuman of Pittsford, NY, Beth (Tim) Ragsdale of Rochester, NY, Paul (Francine) Cadek of Horseheads, NY, Phyllis Dombroski (Janet Joki) of Elmira Heights, NY, Joan (Francis) Scrocarelli of Elmira, NY, Mary (George) Adkisson of Richardmond, KY, and Jean Dombroski of Palmyra, NY. She is also survived by two aunts, Margaret Deegan of Elmira, NY and Eleanor Whitney of Elmira, NY, with her son, Rick Whitney. Dorothy was a longtime employee of the Salvation Army in Horseheads, NY.
