CHOLLET, Louis
Age 93 of Appleridge at Bethany Village and formerly a longtime resident of 23 Hilltop Road, Port Washington, NY, passed away, Friday, February 26, 2010. Lou was born Sept. 16, 1916 in NYC, NY, the son of the late Octave Louis Chollet and Leonie Condou Darracq. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia S. Chollet in 2008. His surviving family includes his sons, Gary (Bonnie) Chollet of Elmira, NY; Ray (Barb Wright) Chollet of Lincoln, NE; daughter-in-law, Sue Chollet of Peterborough, NH; grandchildren, Chris Chollet, Becky Chollet, Michelle (Marc) Spar, Danielle (Jack Unrue) Chollet, Marc Chollet, Derek (Heather Hostetter) Chollet, Cadi (Mike) Thyne, Porter Chollet, Eric Wright; great-grandchildren, Morgan Spar, Lucas Chollet Hostetter, Sam, Jack and Annie Thyne. In addition to his wife and parents, Lou was also predeceased by his oldest son Richard Chollet, sister, Henriette Louise Clementine Gionciotta;
half brothers, George and Robert Condou Darracq. He was the owner and operator of Greenfields, a long established luncheonette in Port Washington, NY. After his retirement he also ran several food service establishments including, NY Tech and Friends Academy on Long Island. He was a merchant Marine and veteran of WWII. Family and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of his life on Sat. March 6, 2010 at 10:30 am in Appleridge at Bethany Village, 3005 Watkins Road, Horseheads, NY, Family and friends are further invited to attend a time of fellowship at Appleridge immediately following his service.
